Abstract
On Behalf of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Elijah E. Cummings issued a staff report looking into the effects of allowing tax credits that aim to help low- and middle-income families and children in Colorado expire. Furthermore, the report also examines the possible corollary consequences allowing such tax credits to expire would have on the total Colorado economy. The report finds that this expiration of tax credits will cause thousands of individuals and families to suffer harsh economic hardships as well as cause subsequent economic woes in the general Colorado economy.
