Abstract
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform investigated the Department of Energy's (DOE) loan guarantee program. The purpose was to uncover any dysfunction, negligence, or mismanagement by DOE officials that prevented investments towards renewable energy. The committee found DOE management put taxpayer funds at risk.
