Is ACORN Intentionally Structured As a Criminal Enterprise?
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
Abstract
The Committee on Oversight and Government reform investigated the fraudulent and illegal acts ACORN has been committing and how it has deviated from its original purpose of promoting grassroots civic participation. The findings in this report stated that in order to prevent these fraudulent and abusive actions of federal funds there needs to be a piercing of ACORN's corporate veil. Dale Rathke's embezzlement and ACORN's cover-up are violations to ACORN's corporate duties and fraud
