Benefits of Preserving and Extending Tax Credits for Families in Arizona: A Middle Class Prosperity Project Staff Report Prepared for the State of Arizona

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
Warren, Elizabeth
Abstract
Under the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Elijah E. Cummings issued a staff report which explores the consequences of allowing specific tax credits to expire in Arizona. The report looks at the expiration of tax credits directed to help low and middle-income families and their children, and what might occur if these credits do expire. The report finds that if these tax credits do expire then thousands of families and children will suffer harsh economic hardships as well as damaging the Arizona economy.
