Abstract
The Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy and Human Resources and the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation into the legitimacy of claims made in the Waxman Report, which reviewed the curricula of federally-funded abstinence education programs. The committee researched and rejects many of the claims made in the Waxman Report. The committee found that the Waxman Report misrepresented the teachings of abstinence programs and failed to offer any review of comprehensive sex education.
