Abstract
The Special Investigations Division of the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation into the quality of care and overall conditions of nursing homes in the District of Columbia. The report examined recent inspections of nursing homes in the D.C. area to determine the overall conditions of the nursing homes. The investigation found that most nursing homes in D.C. violated federal quality of care standards and a multitude of nursing homes in D.C. committed violations which actually harmed residents.
