HHS 'Nursing Home Compare' Website Has Major Flaws

Abstract
The Special Investigations Division of the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation into the credibility and dependability of the 'Nursing Home Compare' website, which allows users to determine the conditions of individual nursing homes. The investigation examined the various aspects of the website and verified the information contained on the website using nursing home inspections. The division found that the website contains massive gaps in relevant information and has major flaws which could mislead families looking for safe nursing homes.
