The Courage of Survivors: A Call to Action

Abstract
The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, Subcommittee on Manufacturing, Trade and Consumer Protection, conducted an investigation into systemic failures that allowed sexual abuse to occur to gymnasts by Larry Nassar. The subcommittee initiated inquiries to USOC, USAG, and MSU. The subcommittee found that the USAG and USOC failed to uphold their statutory purposes and duties to protect amateur athletes from sexual. Further, the USOC, USAG, MSU and the FBI had opportunities to stop Nassar but failed to do so.
