Abstract
The Special Investigations Division of the House COmmittee on Government Reform evaluated the outcomes of the energy plan introduced by President Bush and Vice President Cheney five years ago. Despite the implementation of over 95% of the plan's recommendations, the findings indicate significant issues. Energy prices have soared and American families now face substantial financial burdens. In contrast, the energy industry, particularly oil companies, has flourished, reporting record profits exceeding $100 billion in 2005, highlighting a disconcerting disparity between industry success and growing financial strain on American households.
