Abstract
The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs' Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations published a staff report including findings and recommendations concerning potential measures that can be used to prevent illicit fentanyl from entering the United States. Based on the investigation, the Subcommittee concluded that the Federal Government's policies and procedures are inadequate to prevent the use of the international mail system to ship illegal synthetic opioids into the United States.
