Senate Select Committee on Intelligence
Abstract
The Select Committee on Intelligence investigated the meeting in Rome, Italy between DoD officials, and a follow up meeting in June 2003. In addition, the committee investigated whether the OUSD(P) undertook inappropriate intelligence collection activities. The findings for this investigation concluded that the OUSD (P) did take inappropriate intelligence collection activities, and stated that the Rome meeting did not follow regular procedure and was poorly executed with useful information never coming to light.
