Abstract
The Special Investigations Division of the House Committee on Government Reform sought to determine the effects of revoking the drinking water arsenic standard in 2001 in Michigan. The investigation examined previous EPA studies, including previously unreleased data, to determine the impact of arsenic in Michigan's drinking water supply. The analysis found that over 350,000 individuals in 176 communities in Michigan could be exposed to levels of arsenic in drinking water above the previous standard.
