Abstract
From the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the Senate Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management led by Senator Rand Paul issued a weekly waste report on a $500,000 National Science Foundation grant that partially funded a study on the effect of taking selfies on mood. The report took issue with the lack of a control group and high participant drop-out rate in the study, among other research flaws.
