Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management
Abstract
From the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management led by Senator Rand Paul issued a weekly waste report looking into a program that sends 24 Pakistani kids to space camp in Alabama. The report looks into the objective of this program, and debates this use of funds in terms of education. The Subcommittee finds that this program is aimed at helping these students learn English, and doesn't see necessity to use a trip as expensive as space camp. Furthermore, the Subcommittee takes issue with the fact that the program does not help fund American students for this trip.
