The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations issued a Bipartisan Staff Report finding that Backpage.com knowingly facilitated prostitution and child sex trafficking by systematically editing adult ads, concealing criminal activity, and maintaining control through foreign shell companies despite its alleged sale.
