House Committee on Government Reform ; Special Investigations Division
House Committee on Government Reform
Special Investigations Division
Abstract
The Special Investigations Division of the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation into the ability of Oklahoma nursing homes to adequately staff their facilities to ensure proper care of residents. The committee analyzed annual state inspections of Oklahoma nursing homes. The committee found that 90% of Oklahoma nursing homes did not meet preferred staffing levels and in many cases this lack of staff contributed to poor care.
