Workplace Freedom and Fairness: Are Workers Forces to Fund Political Causes they Oppose?

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
Abstract
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform investigated unions spending more than $1 billion for financing political and lobbying activities during the 2010 election cycle. The purpose of the report was to ensure unions were not using employee funds in politics against their will. The committee found that workers in America had been denied their right to choose where unions spent their money.
