Government-Sponsored Moguls: Executive Compensation at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
Abstract
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform investigated two government-sponsored enterprises (GSE) meant to increase liquidity in the national mortgage market. The purpose of this report was to examine how these GSEs impacted housing initiatives. The Committee found that the GSEs have become great costs to taxpayers with little to no benefit.
