Abstract
The House Committee on Oversight and Reform investigated the occurrence and prevention of COVID-19 in inpatient and residential behavioral health and addiction treatment facilities across the United States. The committee gathered information from ten major behavioral health treatment program operators with eight operators providing substantive responses, covering 376 facilities and over 100,000 patients in 40 states and Puerto Rico. The report states that fewer people are able to attain inpatient care as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic despite an increased need for services.
