Modeling Waste, Over and Over Again

Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management
Abstract
From the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management led by Senator Rand Paul issued a weekly waste report focusing on multiple agencies researching the same thing, specifically climate change. The report takes issue with the fact that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is not the only agency dealing with this issue, and also that NASA has a larger budget for climate change than the NOAA. The report concludes that it is wasteful to have this many agencies conducting research on the same thing, and that there are certain agencies that have no business looking into this issue.
