Abstract
The Special Investigations Division of the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation into the quality of care provided within nursing homes in Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District. The committee analyzed annual inspection reports. The committee found that the majority of nursing homes in the 13th Congressional District of Pennsylvania violated some federal standards of care and more than half of these homes committed violations that resulted in harm to residents.
