Nursing Home Conditions in New Mexico: Many Homes Fail to Meet Federal Standards for Adequate Care

Abstract
The Special Investigations Division of the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation into the quality of care provided in New Mexico's nursing homes. The report analyzed annual inspections conducted of New Mexico's nursing homes. The investigation found that most of New Mexico's nursing homes violated federal standards of quality of care and many of these violations either actually harmed residents or had potential to harm residents.
