Abstract
The House Committee on Oversight and Reform investigated a lack of federal regulation and reporting requirements despite shared risk factors with nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The United States lead the world in both COVID-19 cases and deaths with particular concern in assisted living facilities. The report states federal leadership’s actions in addressing the crisis were inadequate, especially evident in assisted living facilities.
