Abstract

From the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management led by Senator Rand Paul issued a weekly waste report focusing on the interests of the current debt held by the United States Federal Government. The report focuses on the interest from the government's debt and how that affects the taxpayers because they are paying taxes for no tangible benefit. The report finds that the only way to alleviate the excessive interest spending is to either raise taxes or reduce the funding of certain government services.
