Abstract
The Joint Economic Committee issued a House Majority Staff Report and Senate Minority Staff Report on the the fiscal consequences of the global financial crisis and the Global Financial Crisis led to increased government spending, reduced tax revenues, and expanded deficits due to stimulus measures and financial sector interventions.
