Abstract
This report outlines the extensive investigative work of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. It encompasses 37 investigative reports and 42 hearings, examining various aspects of the nation's response to the pandemic. The report emphasizes chronic underfunding and health disparities that left the U.S. underprepared, exacerbated by the Trump Administration's initial mishandling of the crisis. It details the Trump administration's attempts to control scientific information, hinder vaccine development, and promote a herd immunity strategy. The Biden Administration's vaccination efforts are acknowledged, but challenges posed by corporate entities and misinformation are also emphasized, contributing to distrust and preventable deaths.
