Abstract
Chairman Jason Chaffetz of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and Chairman Mark Meadows of Subcommittee on Government Operations issued a staff report on the first 5 years of findings from the Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Act of 2010 (IPERA). Overall, the report shows improper payments cost taxpayers nearly $600 billion in the past 5 years.
