The investigation found that the tobacco industry provided more subsidized campaign travel than any other corporate special interest. Furthermore, Republican congressional Leadership was the beneficiary of this subsidized campaign travel. Under FEC regulations, if a corporate jet is provided for campaign purposes, the recipient is required to reimburse the company for the cost of a first-class ticket. The committee found that Republican leadership was charged far less for the value of the travel provided.14 pagesenStaff ReportsAir Tobacco: Campaign Travel on Tobacco Industry JetsHouse Minority Staff Report20: Government Operations2012: Regulation of Political Campaigns, Political Advertising, PAC Regulation, Government Ethicshttps://web.archive.org/web/20051025005730/http://www.democrats.reform.house.gov/story.asp?ID=546&Issue=Tobacco105Yes
