The report focuses on the analysis by and actions of the Intelligence community leading up to, during, and following the attacks. The report also addresses other issues about the attacks relating to the Department of Defense and Department of State. The committee conducted oversight hearings with witnesses along with briefings and meetings with U.S. personnel related to the case. The report finds that the Americans serving in Benghazi were vulnerable and the State Department was aware of this but did not take action.
