2023-07-252023-07-252002-03-18https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14300/961The Special Investigations Division of the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation into the juvenile detention system in New Mexico and its effect on the state's youth in light of the state having the third-highest youth suicide rate in the country. The investigation examined individual cases of incarcerated youth with mental health disorders in New Mexico and their release in order to see the effect that incarceration and the lack of mental health services had on these youth.
